Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing & Sales to lead our marketing and admissions teams and develop strategic marketing plans for our organization. The Director of Marketing & Sales will be responsible for creating and executing marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, new student acquisition, and revenue growth. This role requires a creative, results-driven individual with exceptional leadership skills, an analytical mindset, and a passion for marketing. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute all marketing strategy, messaging, promotions, and attribution analysis for our student enrollment cycle
  • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Optimize lead scoring and thoughtful funnel analysis
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan and budget
  • This is a "player-coach" role – one must be able to both plan and execute all marketing initiatives
  • Developing strategies for email, social media, blog/website, and lead magnets while also producing other impactful content marketing
  • Identify new marketing channels to reach untapped audiences
  • Lead the Admissions team to ensure strong alignment between sales and marketing while optimizing the sales efforts with existing Admissions team resources
  • Spearhead "Enterprise" sales efforts by selling and marketing to organizations that may be interested in sending groups of students through our program
  • Optimize the website while actively tracking data and testing for improvements
  • Conduct competitive analyses, gather customer intelligence, and stay up to date on market trends to inform strategy
  • Provide input on new product development and curriculum optimization opportunities based on market trends
  • Provide strategic support for practitioner and alumni communications in collaboration with the Alumni Relations Director

 

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in digital marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Intimate knowledge of PPC, SEO, SEM, email, social media, and display advertising
  • Must have past experience preparing marketing plans, managing budgets, and allocating resources to achieve maximum enrollment rates
  • The ideal candidate will possess exemplary technology skills. Candidates must be comfortable with a variety of workplace technologies, including, but not limited to, Google Workspace, Hubspot, Slack, Zoom, WordPress, etc.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-learner
  • The candidate should have experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns across various channels, such as email marketing, social media, and paid advertising
  • The candidate should be highly analytical and proficient in using data to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
