Summary:

The Controller is a critical member of the Executive Team and will report directly to General Manager on a daily basis, as well as support the CEO and our foreign teams as directed. The Controller will handle all cash flow, accounting, and reporting functions within the organization, including the financial management systems based on Oracle’s NetSuite Platform. This role has the ability to develop into a Director/VP/EVP role in the future. This position requires someone with a proactive personality that will take ownership of the position, offering a fresh perspective to our current financial management function.

Responsibilities:

Primary:

• Proactive cash-flow management on a day-to-day basis, including AP and all reporting functions. This is a hands-on accounting role from bill pay to reporting, in addition to Financial Oversight.
• Designing, building, and maintaining reports and dashboards within our NetSuite Platform. NetSuite is a critical path to our daily operations.
• A critical member of the Executive Team which includes General Manager and CEO, with support from the Sales and Warehouse Management Teams when appropriate.
• Maintaining our Chart of Accounts to ensure we have the proper reporting structure to maintain GAAP standards.
• Work closely with our CPA Team to support tax reporting (Federal, State, and Local) requirements.
•  Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
•  Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.

Secondary:

• Supporting the Sales Team from an AR and Backlog Perspective.
• Work with the Executive Team to design and build a forecasting model for sales, inventory management, and future cash flow obligations.
• Support of our parent company in Taiwan with specific reporting requirements, monthly financial review meetings, etc.

Qualifications:

•  8 or more years of experience. Bachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or equivalent. NO recent graduates
• Oracle NetSuite Experience required.
•  Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Strong skill set with respect to Financial Management and Reporting
• Self-starter and proactive with respect to reporting, accountability, cash management, and process management
• Chinese as a second language would be an advantage but not a requirement.
