Location: Atlanta, GA  (Midtown)
Reports to: Director of Accounting
Schedule: Office hours are from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility to work from home. Please note this position is primarily in-office and not a hybrid role.
Compensation: $95k-$105k 


Position Summary

Centralized Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to enhance their Accounting department. This pivotal role involves strategic analysis and advice to management, playing a crucial part in their financial decision-making and operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a steadfast commitment to excellence and a drive to propel the financial success of their organization. Responsibilities encompass managing accounting operations for 2-5 companies, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and process development. Additional duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, financial report preparation, and adherence to accounting policies and regulations. Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting for 2-5 companies and communicate with their team regularly using
    QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and bank account reconciliation monthly.
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger accurately, completely every week.
  • Develop and implement needed processes.
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, and coding payments.
  • Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Act as back up to Accounting Director when out of office.
  • Act as mentor to assist in development of Accounting staff.
  • Assist with budgetary process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in GAAP accounting.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector or property leasing accounting is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Sage 300 is required.
  • Experience with SQL reports is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel, is essential.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations preferred but not required.
